Here we go with some raw books, folks!

 

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #2 2.5/3.0 OW/W  NOW $725! Bought this from a local collection.  Very solid for the grade.  Book has some overall moisture damage and some light staining and tanning to interior cover.  Slight spine roll.  Subscription crease and a couple of tears on the spine that go a tiny bit into the pages.  Staples have some darkening/discoloration but no real rust or transfer to the pages.  Cover and CF both attached but there is some moderate tearing at the CF pages at the upper staple and some smaller ones at the lower.  No visible resto.  Book is complete

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16 5.0/5.5 OW  NOW $150! Clean, structurally sound copy with nice page quality.  Cover and CF are well attached, top staple is a bit overshot.  Small staple tears at both staples.  Quite a few color-breaking spine creases as well as color breaking creases across the upper and lower right corners.  Upper edge overhang wear with small tears.  Looks like someone tried to tear off the dog ears at the extreme right top edge of the front and back cover (thought it might be a tiny area of bug chew at first but after further analysis through a loupe this is the conclusion I came to).  Cover is slightly dingy with some dimpling but no detectable moisture damage.  Slight spine roll.  Book is complete.  Has not been pressed to my knowledge and shows no apparent resto.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #46 5.0/5.5 OW  NOW $65! Well-centered, solid copy.  Great colors for the grade.  Looks like the book might have been in a high humidity environment as there doesn't seem to be actual moisture damage but the paper seems like it might have been wet before.  Staples are clean and everything is well attached.  Moderate edge wear and fibrous corners.  Some small thumb creases at the right edge and a longish non color breaking dent in the dark part of the broken column on the lower part of the cover.  Back cover has a small pinhole through just the cover, upper left edge.  There are 2 small stains at the upper spine on the back cover as well as a small hard to see splotch on the upper part of the Spidey statue web.  Interior covers show moderate tanning but no apparent brittleness.  Book is complete.  Has not been pressed to my knowledge and shows no apparent resto.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #122 8.0/8.5 OW/W  NOW $200! Very nice copy with great pages and bright colors.  Corners are sharp and there is little to no edge wear.  Staples are clean and everything is well attached.  4-5 spine dents which don't appear to break color (its a white spine so its a bit hard to tell) and a tiny ink smudge touching top staple.  Very small barely color breaking crease at top right edge near corner but it doesn't cross the corner.  Small "peck" front cover near lower staple (looks like a tiny dent that almost went though the cover, may be production).  Back cover is super clean.  Has not been pressed to my knowledge and shows no apparent resto.  Book is complete.

Sub-Mariner #1 4.5/5.0 OW  NOW $65! Solid copy, everything well-attached.  Very tiny tape pull in between the tines of Namor's trident.  Name written lightly in ink on interior of front cover.  Several color breaking spine creases as well as a few light color breaking corner creases.  Some minor staples tears with rounded corners.  Thumb creases at upper and lower edge as well as some wear/small tears.  Back cover has a small tear with a piece hanging at the top edge.  Moderate interior cover tanning but no brittleness.  Has not been pressed to my knowledge and shows no apparent resto.  Book is complete.

BATMAN #251 6.5/7.0 C/OW  SOLD! Flat, glossy book with great colors.  Everything is well-attached at the cover and CF.  Staples are clean.  Right and bottom edge of front cover have tanning/sun shadow.  Also on the front cover there is a small triangular chip out of bottom edge and a tiny sliver chipped off of upper mid right edge.  Several color breaking spine creases and a small color rub inr the "M" of BATMAN.  Small color breaking crease at top right corner.  Back cover is slightly dingy and there is a very tiny chip at the top edge near the right corner.  Tiny tear at bottom right edge of back cover.  Has not been pressed to my knowledge and shows no apparent resto.  Book is complete.

More slabs!

THE ATOM #1 CGC 3.5 UNIVERSAL OW  $115  Purchased already slabbed off of ebay.  Presents very nicely for the grade.  Slab has a crack of some sort at the very bottom edge, but how it happened is beyond me.  It almost looks like it happened when the slab was snapped off of the mold before the book was put in it.

FANTASTIC FOUR #25 CGC 4.5 UNIVERSAL W  SOLD!  Bought this from a boardie (for a little more $) a couple years ago already slabbed.  Bright colors and white pages.  Pretty good sized spine roll.  Case is in very good shape with only a few small scuff/scratches.
