most comic stores ive seen dont really sell newer stuff in sealed plastic but i found an invader zim comics (hot topic Var) in fully machine sealed packaging and i was wondering if this really means something

Some comics, especially ones with nudity or adult themes, will come from the publisher in a sealed package. This prevents minors from seeing something their parents might object to. Over the years, several store owners have been arrested because some kid  bought a comic someone thought was obscene.

In a way, the entire Direct Market is a result of a comic dealer being arrested for selling a kid a comic his parents objected to. But I digress.
