Thoughts on getting a sketched book signed by a celebrity

Okay, so here's a question that maybe has been asked once before on here, maybe not. First, let me start by saying I realize CGC does not authenticate signatures, they only deal with witnessed signatures. Okay, that out of the way. I have a formally blank cover C3PO comic which I had Howard Chaykin sketch C3PO on it for me at a convention. No CGC witness, and I was and remain fine with that. I am considering having Anthony Daniels sign this comic at an upcoming convention; CGC will be at this convention and will presumably be witnessing signatures. First, does anybody think CGC will take issue grading and certifying Daniels signature on a sketched book? Second, anybody have any opinions on whether this sketched book should be signed, or possibly a different book?

CGC will happily grade & slab your book after it's been signed - it'll come back with a green/yellow label due to the unverified sketch.

Whether it's worth it, is entirely up to you - if you're looking at resale value, it's a bad idea.

i have two celebrity SS pet peeves.

#1 having the creator also sign the book

#2 having a celebrity sign a sketch.  It immediately goes back to #1 since the artist will sign his sketch.

Have Anthony sign a nice C3PO photo variant or get an 8x10 with the SS label.  They look beautiful in the plastic and cost what $15 to have it encapsulated.
