Acquiring multiple signatures for one book.

Hi there!  Noob here.  I've read through the posts on the SS board and still have some questions for the Sig Series.

In the past I've had several comic books that were submitted to local comic book shops for witnessed signing and submission to CGC.  Some books were taken by these shops to local cons and had multiple signatures on each book.  These books are still the prized gems of my small collection of books I've collected over the past 3 years.

For my 40th birthday celebration, I'm planning on going out of the US and attend the FanExpoCanada 2017.  My plan is to get multiple signatures on a Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary #1.  Basically, whoever had an opportunity to write, pencil, ink, or color for WW,  I want there Sig.

My questions are as follows:

1. Is there a CGC contact person that will be at FanExpoCanada 2017 that can help facilitate this process?

2. If yes to question #1, when requesting for a CGC Sig witness, how do we get in contact with that person?  And how do we go about the "multiple" signature route?   I'm worried that standing in long lines to meet artists and writers might present a BIG challenge in a big convention like this, including witnesses running around from table to table and somehow missing my opportunity for a witnessed Sig.  My plan is to get as many signatures on this book and hopefully a CGC witness will be there to witness the artist/writer at time of signing.

3.  As far as for the CGC witness, is there a fee charged by the person WITNESSING the person signing?

4. Since I'm from the US, will there be any extra shipping fees or customs fees as far as submitting books at FanExpoCanada and then final delivery to US, etc?

Thank you in advance for your help.

1) CGC will have a booth at Fan Expo Canada - in case you're wondering whether CGC will be at a show, you can always look at their Events page:
https://www.cgccomics.com/events/index.aspx

2) In general, CGC witnesses do not stand around creators waiting for someone to show up that needs their services. There are some very specific exceptions for creators with very high demand and limited signing opportunities, but in general you should always assume that you'll need to procure a witness before you go get your book signed.

Simply go to the CGC booth, tell them who you're looking to get signatures from, and they'll either send a witness with you straight away (if one's available), have you wait around a bit (if all witnesses are out) or tell you that a witness will already be there for that specific signing. Before going to the CGC booth, do the people there a favor by checking that the creator is actually at their booth & is signing - some creators have a tendency to show up late, wander off or will only sign within specific times.

3) No. CGC witnesses are provided free of charge as part of the grading fees you pay for a SS label.

4) Nope.

@mschmidt Thank you so much!  This helps a lot.  This will be a first for me so fingers crossed.  It's a process but hopefully I'll be successful.?
