Hi, all.  Thanks for stopping by.  This evening, I'm offering a handful of Golden Age comics as a favor to my close friend, Brian Peets (owner of the A-1 Comics chain).  All books are guaranteed to be unrestored (unless otherwise noted).  All books will be shipped from A-1 Comics (fully insured with delivery or signature confirmation).  The exact cost of shipping will be added to your order.  Bullet-proof packaging guaranteed.  Payment to A-1 Comics may be by PayPal, Cashier’s Check, USPS Money Order, business/personal check (but please allow up to ten days for your check to clear), or cash (in-store pickup only).  Payment must be received within seven calendar days of being invoiced (unless other arrangements have been agreed to via PM).  Items will ship within three business days of your payment.  Returns cheerfully accepted (provided that you alert me to the return via PM within one week of receipt), but the cost of shipping and return shipping will be on you.  International buyers are welcomed.  Miscreants, wankers, and folks currently on probation are not.  Please PM me if you have questions.  Happy hunting!

Detective Comics #168 (DC; Feb 1951).  Grade = 0.5 PR ow-wh (coverless & incomplete).  Price = $xxx.
Origin of The Joker.  Missing the cover and back half of the seventh interior wrap (pgs 35-36 that contain the two-page text story entitled "Your Thinking Cap").  Most pages once had a dog-ear across their top-outside corner.  These bent pages have been unfolded, but some lack of flatness remains (see image provided).  Lightly rusted bottom staple with all wraps securely attached.

Menace #11 (Atlas; May 1954).  Grade = 4.0 VG to 4.5 VG+ ow-wh.  Price = $xxx.
Highly sought-after Harry Anderson cover.  Bright and tight, with light-to-moderate handling wear (consistent with a grade of about FN).  Unfortunately, contact with water has led to obvious moisture staining, rusty staples, and a touch of rust staining to the adjacent paper.  Cover and all interior wraps securely attached.

Strange Tales #23 (Atlas; Oct 1953).  Grade = 3.5 VG- ow-wh.  Price = $xxx.
Very unique interior story entitled "White on Black".  Glossy and tight, with light handling wear (consistent with a grade of about FN/VF).  Unfortunately, contact with water has led to ink loss on the front cover, obvious moisture staining on the back cover, rusty staples, and a touch of rust staining to the adjacent paper.  Interior pages 9/10 and 11/12 each have one long (3~4") tear from the bottom-outside corner, plus some extra paper along the bottom-most 3.5" of the right edge (see image provided).  Probably some type of Siamese-page production defect.  Cover and all interior wraps securely attached.

Superman #76 (DC; May-Jun 1952).  Grade = 1.5 FR/GD ow-wh (beat but complete).  Price = $xxx.
Cover detached due to heavy wear along spine (although very little paper is actually missing).  Clean staples.  First fourteen leaves have short tears at their outside edge.  Centerfold detached at bottom staple.

Witchcraft #2 (Avon; May-Jun 1952).  Grade = 2.5 GD+ ow.  Price = $xxx.
Classic skull cover.  Moderate handling wear but heavy moisture staining and light rippling.  Lightly rusted staples.  Light foxing on inside covers and outermost interior pages.  Cover and all interior wraps securely attached.  Extremely pretty, in spite of its technical grade.
