Red CGC label

I think that Red is also a mix of Yellow and Blue.

 

No that's green. Red and blue are both primary colors, along with yellow. You cannot technically achieve a primary color by mixing the two remaining primary colors. You'll always end up with either a secondary color or a shade of brown or black. The only way to get red is to start with red from the get-go, a la Red-40. If you notice, food coloring and dyes are usually only sold in the primary colors, unless a company goes ahead and mixes them to sell secondary color dyes. This brings me to this question though.....
