Please Grade: Killing Joke 0

It's definitely in the NM range.  There are two  minor defects and I'm curious as to how they would effect the grade.  There are two small indentation marks that do not break the color but show up when the lighting is just right.  The second picture shows the larger of them.  It is next to the spine just above the Joker's shoulder.  The other is in the position of a small corner fold, but it is just an indentation and there is no fold showing on the reverse side.  I couldn't even get it to show up in the picture. I would grade it as a 9.4 - 9.6.  What do you think. (Please note: The pictures don't do justice to the corners which are all sharp, also the cover page fold on the lower left next to the spine is only showing because of the glare, otherwise it is hardly noticible.)

if that is down the spine that is where the book was glued together and someone has opened it to read it.  i dont think anything can be done about that.
 that being said i still think it has a shot at 8.0 8.5.

This is a tough book to grade.  The gloss on the cover really shows off finger prints.  I've had books that look better come back as 8.5, because of minor bends and finger prints.  I have used a eyeglass cleaning cloth to remove finger prints with some success. 

 

The fold, along the spine, is a big factor.  Not much you can do with that.  I would agree withcookie1963 and go 8.0, with a shot at 8.5.
