Dankstalivin
So I have taken about three books to my local comic store and had them sent for grading, but unfortunately he has closed the shop and I have several comics I want to get graded, I have some people tell me it costs 20.00 a book to grade and cgc saying I just need to buy a membership but what’s the catch,or is there I pay $$ and I can send in as many books listed for that membership for the year? I was getting charged 20.00 per book to get graded from comic store I’m a noob at this whole grading thing and would appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance! telerites
Look here for membership options and a screenshot of the page - below is the link for services and fees. You can submit books yourself under a free registration but other memberships give you a discount plus some other perks. You can also sub through many dealers and get a 20% discount. Lots of those dealers are members here. Hope this helps as a strarting point. https://www.cgccomics.com/join/ Here for services and fees https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/
Dankstalivin
So if I join membership according to the chart every book I send in costs money to grade depending on turnaround time etc...? Wanting to make sure I am reading this right I called cgc and they said if I join I can send in as many books I want ... But they didn’t say each book cost a certain amount to grade. revat
Goes basically like this: Step 1: Get membership at the level you prefer. Pay up front for said membership. Step 2: Submit as many books as you want at the appropriate grading tiers which are based on the era and cost of the book. You will pay PER BOOK, with fee dependent on the tier. Step 2.5: Pay extra for FASTER grading if you want. Step 2.75: If your membership comes with a 'credit', CGC will use that instead of money to pay for your grading. Step 3: Your books are graded then returned to you. Dankstalivin
