Hi all,

sorry for the noob question.

i have one asm 129 cgc 8 which is cream to off white page.

Does it affect the comic value as it is cream to off white pages?

is cream pages bad?

Though my statement will get a rebuttal if the right Boardie sees it, IMO CR/OW pages on a Bronze Age book is unacceptable. Sorry.

The short answer is it is not as desirable as White Pages and will affect value,  the extent being a comic by comic basis as there is no formula to apply. The vast majority of Bronze Age collectors avoid CRM/OW pages like the plague.

And here's another thing you may not be aware of: If a book gets the Cream to Off-White designation, those pages are usually pretty cooked. That might actually be one of the reasons it graded as an 8.0---many times the interior cover will be age-toned as well.

As others have said, it's not preferred and won't garner a premium.  On the upside, it's ASM129 and that book is always desirable and in demand.  You'd have no problem finding a buyer if you ever chose to sell it.

Nope. Crm/OW would not have any affect on a grade of 8.0. Check notes on the book. An 8.0 should have some notes. This book is known for a tear at the top staple. My guess is either a crease or stain put it at 8.0. If there is moderate tanning on interior cover, that may also knock it down.
