Marvel Cinematic Universe ... end result? 0

Crazy theory time!

We've had three different Spider-man actors, each behaving as if the others never existed.  None of the Marvel characters in Avengers: Infinity War seem to know about the X-Men or the Fantastic Four.  So, what if this isn't the Marvel universe.  It's a splinter universe.  In the Avengers: Infinity War splinter universe, Thanos wins.  In another splinter universe, Spider-man was Toby Maguire. In another splinter universe, Spider-man was Andrew Garfield.  In another splinter universe, the Fantastic Four has met the Silver Surfer.  All these splinter universes are real, unto themselves, but they aren't the real Marvel complete universe (that Disney now owns, but other studios still have some claims...), so the end result of all these movies will be the actual complete Marvel universe... which we haven't seen yet... but we will, once Disney has it all.

Plus the animated Spider-man team's universe to compete with DC's The New Teen Titans are Go cartoon and movie. Plus the Netflix and Hulu Marvel universe of downloads.

I never like the multiverse in comics.  It's like the "travel back in time and fix everything" method of storytelling...lazy.  Then to fix it they use another lazy method...Secret Wars...Convergence...Unity.

 

That's why I always like the "What If..." comics.  It lets you explore other possibilities without messing with the one universe.  They should have a "What If..." MCU movie.  It'll make 20 billion dollars!!!
