Hi all,

My first old book purchase, just wondering what grade do you think this is and if pressing /cleaning will help?

Attached as many pics as I can, don't mind the rainbow line on the back though, that's not on the book

 From what I can tell, this looks to be in the Near Mint range if it's complete. Just a hint of wear and possibly a very light dust shadow on the left edge of the back cover...

I concur. Solid 9.4 barring any hidden defects. That's a sweet copy - congrats.

On pressing/cleaning: If this book were mine I would pay for a clean/press as insurance/just in case there is slight NCB somewhere that we can't see. Considering that a 9.4 copy sells for around $225-250 I think the $20 or so for the press/clean is a solid choice. Or think of it this way....let's say you need to sell it to upgrade to a 9.6 sometime down the line (or you need to sell for whatever reason). You want THIS copy to be the best it can be since you want to see top dollar for the book. That's my 

But if you do sell, remember that some people are not fond of pressed books so it is responsible trading to disclose that it has been pressed if/when you sell it
