Submission Grade Inquiry 0

Hey everyone,

I’m planning on submitting some recently released comics for grading. Is it common to see 9.8 grades with new books? I’m not a dealer and these were bought from my local shop. Would being a customer rather than a dealer influence my grade since the books were in “circulation” or available to the public?

I'm not sure I understand your question(s) but, when viewing your books, the graders have no idea who submitted them. For most common Modern books, 9.8 is the most desirable grade, anything less is usually viewed as being a fail.  Review your books carefully before submitting. If you can see a crease, fold, bend, fingerprint or most any flaw it may not get a 9.8 . Actually reading the book makes the book more susceptible to incurring a flaw.

I was not sure if CGC could tell by the submission forms wether the books were sent by a dealer or not and if that had any weight on grading.

Thanks for the infomation. I’ll double check for fingerprints before I submit them.

CGC doesn't favour anyone just quietly, they grade what they see
