Holes...is it bugs?

I bought some old comics today and was just wondering if it could be from termites,book lice or something like that..on a few issues along the bottom theres a row of holes throughout the interior but not the cover ..please help and thanks in advance...

That is an amazing coincidence,youre exactly who i needed to talk to..any advive on things to look out for when buying old comics to avoid silverfish,book lice and things like it?

The only thing you can do is avoid books with paper chewed. The mylar bags will keep silverfish from infesting remaining books in your collection.

If the holes are always on the bottom margins, I think they are 'gripper holes' from where the paper was pulled through the presses. They are a normal part of production of comics at the time.

Thanks thats what i was trying to figure out but there wasnt alot of information out there
