This book appears to have come from a bound volume (untrimmed). It would have been a high grade copy if left alone, and still has great color. As can be seen in the scan there is color pull along the spine, and the spine is notched in 7 places. It's looks fairly solid otherwise. There is a small crack in the case visible at the bottom left of the back cover scan.

Some H2O staining, visible in scan. Some rust on staples.  Red in right top corner is a scanner artifact, it's the same orange as the rest of the book. Shadow at bottom is also from scanner and not on book.

Old label FWIW, likely Conserved by today's standards. I'm not sure where the tear seal is, but it looks like it may be the top of the spine, whee it looks like there may have been a 1" split. 

Amazing reds on this copy, this book usually has an orange or orange/yellow spaceship.

ADVENTURES OF ACE KING DETECTIVE 2.0 (possible resto) Slightly Brittle pages.   Extremely scarce!   One of a trio of comics from 1933 from Humor Publications, considered the earliest original material comic books.      2" spine split at the bottom that comes just short of the staple. Staples are rusty but not bleeding. There is a second set of staples on the inside of the book, and it looks like the cover may have been detached and carefully glued back on at the spine - I'm not certain. Pages are tan, and the first wrap is about 2/3 split at the spine. There is no flaking, but pages, at least the first wrap would appear to have some brittleness at the spine. The book can be read, but should be handled carefully. This is an oversized book with stiff cardboard stock covers. A rare piece of comic history.    $1350

FR OW pages. 

Spine is very rough, with a three inch split on bottom, and pieces out leaving about 25% intact. Technically it's holding on at the top staple, but barely. 

Pages have few have small tears in them, but no chunks are out, or major tears through the page. Centerfold is still attached. 

Beat but complete with no tape or resto. 

One of the all time classic crime covers!

What a lineup of books!  Wish I could afford to claim them all (and sorry I missed that Planet!)...  And that Ace King is incredible, I've never seen that book before, very cool.  GLWTS!!
