I bought an asm # 14 cgc 8.5 white pages two years ago for $2000.  Now it's worth a lot more. I think there is still some upswing to this one as the #1 green goblin and classic cover

The buyer's original post focused on price and that he would feel foolish if one popped up under 1k, so it's not just about the purchase, but how much the purchase cost him.
