Signature and Gradings

Good afternoon fellow collectors

Another silly question. I have a certain amount of raw comics signed at conventions.

Is there anyone that can explain how the gradings work in these cases? Are the signature considered ? maybe authenticated?

What in case I have a COA from a major comic shop (e.g. dynamic forces or Scott J Campbell)?

Cheers

Ivan

You can choose

ignore the signature and get a green label (qualified).

get a blue label universal and let the signature count as a defect.

if you’re submitting, write an extra comment letting them know your preference of blue or green label.

Your COA has no impact independent of who it comes from.

CGC does not authenticate signatures.
