MedicAR
I don't hang out on the boards much anymore but I thought that this was important enough to warrant some attention. I did check for old posts and there are some that are similar, at least letting the community know that Mr. Messner-Loebs was in dire straights, but now there is a way to help directly. For those of us reading comics in the 80s, his name was everywhere. He was credited in the Wonder Woman movie. He should have it made, at least relatively, right? Not so much. Fox 2 in Detroit ran an article on him and it is both crushing and inspiring. Sad to see that he has fallen so far but inspiring in his attitude and willingness to just keep moving forward. I have reached out to the Hero Initiative in an effort to get him some help. Check it out, and if you can donate, please do! https://ca.gofundme.com/billmessnerloebs
kav
Very sad. I hope he reaches his goal and then some. James J Johnson
skypinkblu
@MedicAR Is there a way to donate to him directly instead of through gofundme? kav

MedicAR
There is an email in the Fox 2 story but it will be to the reporter who will then get in touch with Mr. Messner-Loebs. That's a huge problem with the homeless, while many have cell phones now, it's still very difficult to reach them consistnetly. I have spent a great deal of time working with the homeless. Without trying to get on a soapbox, this is one of the precious few that I would bend over backward to try to help. He's working and trying to find a way out. You just can't ask for more than that. A great many simply prefer to live that way, and won't work given the chance. Much as I hate to say it, he should come down to Northwest Arkansas. There is a ridiculous number of services and ways to get assistance here. kav
