Hey guys, I have two books with similar issues. Gotham City Sirens #1 and New Avengers #11 (1st Ronin). I snapped some picks and attached. There's wear along the spine that appears "white". How does this affect grading? And how should I proceed with books like this?

Thanks-

Charles

initially I was going to call it color breaking spine wear.  After checking comparables on eBay, I found several examples of 9.4s with similar spines.  Your bottom corners look a little rounded with color wear so that may detract, although I admit I don't often grade modern books.
