Sal
My first eBay purchase in months. I had already set my snipe - less than 50% of guide(!) - when I committed to buy Silver's VG copy, so now I have a nice copy and a reader.

Sal
Yeah, DC had a great colour palette back in the Silver Age.
Red Hook
Very different from Marvels. I wonder what the reason is...... Who actually did the coloring. I heard it was a gang of little old ladies. Seriously. Someone out there must know. DC was definitely into primary colors. Marvel loved grey. djpinkpanther67
That was meant as a compliment you know..... I know! BTW I like the idea about the Sid's Luncheonette thread. (I'll be having a few Sid's copies here in the next 2 months or so, you know) I would like to be able to contribute something besides "nice book" or "gee, I wish I could find a GR FF for my collection, but the one I had my eye on got overbidded on by about $2900 (so far)" Edited February 9, 2008 by djpinkpanther67

Detroit MIke
DC probably coerced those little old ladies into using more vivid colors on their books... or they'd sleep with the fishes.
