BTW, someone had the cover to FLINCH #11 at San Diego. I didn't get a chance to ask how much it was(since I probably didn't have the funds anyhoo. Got in today: Hulk 293 300 315 FF 225 228 230 231 232 240 243 (Galactus Cover ) 286 270 TTA 65 was a CGC 6.0 but presents very nice. Aces Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 You must have a cool LCS. I've given up completely on my LCSs for back issues. Take JIM 94 for instance. About a month ago I was at my best LCS looking for TPBs. I noticed they got some new Silver-Age Books for sale on the wall. Nothing big... JIMs, TTAs, ASMs, STs from '64-'66. I asked to see the Strange Tales and only 115 was one that I needed. Looked to be about VGF and cream pages. It was marked as Fine and priced at over $100 ($115 I think). I asked to see the JIMs and the only one on my want list was 94. It was the worst one at Fair/Good with the cover almost detached. It was correctly marked as G- $14. I offered $10 because I had a $10 bill burning a hole in my pocket. He said all these books were consignment and the best he could do was take off half his 20% fee or $1.40. I passed. A week or so later I picked up the nice VG 94 above for $16.95 + $1.50 shipping ($3 shipping split on the 94 and 93) off eBay. Thank God for eBay and Heritage and these boards.
