I didn't bother to vote, I was in the Nikos contest, and this is a half decent one I just wasn't feeling the format of the whole thing. Searching numbers and everything to find out who you were up against and all that involved to much effort, I'm a lazy man and unless it's my job or sex, I try to use as little energy and effort as I can get away with.

 

Congrats to who ever got the advance off me, and to the rest who are still in it.

I don't know where this definition came from, but it really doesn't work for the majority of "single flaw" books.

 

It's from Ernie Gerber's grading criteria in the GA Gerber guide. It's not Official Overstreet Grading Doctrine, so take it as you will.

 

As I said, I just use it as a 'rule of thumb.' Obviously it doesn't apply to 'single flaw' books like the one you mentioned; I thought that should go without saying.

 

 

 

And folks, remember that these contests are NEVER about grading, or who's the best grader, but who is the best at predicting what grade CGC gave the comic.
