Rickdogg
GI JOE #1 CGC 9.8's for $250!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=713254675 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=718047426 Man that is way too much for a GI JOE 9.8! I'd pay max $100 since I love the Joes, but $250 forget it.
greggy
Mmm, the buyer must love that book to buy two copies at that price. Hope he is not trying to sell it for a profit!
Rickdogg
He better hope that the census stays that way . HEHE Highly doubt it
greggy
Are there only 2 copies in 9.8 at this time?

Guest
I missed one a couple of months back that went in the $160-$180 range.... I can't see the market bearing more for that book now.
lighthouse
Flashback to when @greggy was handing out investment advice on the boards. Let’s see... $250 for one of 12 known 9.8s... wait 17 years and change... now over 600 9.8s on the census... $375 current value... carry the 3... 2.35% return on this investment since September 2002. Ha - I was actually thinking of picking up a 9.8 last night. It's not a book that pops up as often as you think though. It's one of those, "I know there are plenty out there" books but all I keep seeing are 9.6's. When I do see a 9.8 now it is going for the higher end of the spectrum. Is it really a $600 book in 9.8? At that price I would be satisfied owning a 9.6 again. STORMSHADOW_80 and Turnando
