How bad will this affect my BA12 0

There are rubs or missing color lines evenly spaced throughout the cover...Not sure what caused this.  How bad is this going to hurt my grade assuming everything else is NM?

Hmmm, tough one. Assuming it's some kind of storage wear and not a production defect, I'd guess 6.5/7.0 range? If you're looking to sell it I'd probably just keep it raw.

Hypothetically, if it’s from a poor press job, what causes that to happen during that process? Curious minds want to know.

Whatever it's from, it's noticeable. Color rubs or unsightly variations in the cover usually don't go over very well at CGC. Personally, I wouldn't send a book like this in unless I knew it was worth a substantial amount even in mid grade...

Color rub or if it’s a bad press, would it be from too much heat? Or bad/old “release paper” ( for lack of the proper terminology )
