I'm not sure if this is a "Variant" or simply a one-off "Printing mistake".

Check out the Bob Hope comics #7 in the 1st photo.  Notice anything missing?  This comic is up on ebay right now if someone wants it.  I didn't want to spend that kind of money for an oddity, but I think it's pretty cool.

Has anyone ever seen this mistake before on this comic?  I guess they had a printing "screen" devoted just to the photo image of Bob Hope in the corner?  I would have thought his image would have been printed with the rest of the black ink.

2nd photo is a close up of the missing image and 3rd photo shows what's missing.
