Westerns lot 2, $84

White Rider & Super Horse, Accepted Publications reprint, Cole cover, 6.0
Black Diamond Western 11, Biro cover, 4.5
Black Diamond Western 16, Biro cover, 6.0
Indians 15, Whitman cover, 4.0

From what I've read, within the world of comics creators and publishers, Biro's personal character was about as well regarded as his art: none too highly. But he was never ashamed to put his name on anything, and what golden age collector doesn't have a few Biros tucked away? His western work was tame compared to the early crime stuff he did; Wertham apparently didn't think highly of Biro's work either, as far as content goes.

So it's open mic night for poets. I'm going to rhyme and make some deals.

First...

There once was an artist named Biro
Who did crime way before heroes
Some say his art smells
But oh man did it sell

I'm stumped on that one. Any ideas?

"There once was an artist named Biro

...getting it now you pay mucho dinero's."

I'm not so good at this stuff during daylight hours.    :|
