finally watched this tonight- i enjoyed it. i thought the first half was more interesting than the second half. certainly not perfect, but i thought it was very well done and i did not get bored. and i thought the realism of all the apes was remarkable. noah is designed to look very much like caesar too. 

overall happy with it, i hope the next ones will be at least as good. as a big fan of the original series and the first two of the newer reboots, i'm glad to see this franchise not sucking like so many others these days.
