I had heard the Combat Casey's are particularly violent..... never read one, however.

The ones listed in the Overstreet as containing "extreme violence" do have some fairly graphic panels of soldiers being blown up or riddled with bullets, and are more violent than most Atlas war stories, but are pretty tame compared to some of the pre-code crime and horror books noted for their gore and graphic imagery. They are certainly less violent than some of the more graphic modern books, but they are chock full of R.Q. Sale art, which makes them worth picking up.

Other Atlas pick-up of note at the show were the final two issues of Battle, 69 & 70, with Kirby covers and art.

 

I am 3 issues from completing the 70-issue run. I really should look for those specifically hm
