Popular Post OtherEric
It's been one of my favorite underrated, oddball titles for years. So, in honor of the recent relaunch, and because I'm sitting at home socially distancing myself anyway, I decided to scan what I had and start a thread. Hoping others will contribute, as is the case with a lot of my collection my copies are generally low grade. I have many of the key issues from 110 up as near as I can tell, at least. Some of them are some of the earliest Silver Age books I ever owned, treasures from quarter bins when finding any book that was older than myself that I could afford on my allowance was a major triumph. frozentundraguy, Tri-Color Brian, The Commissioner and 3 others

Popular Post OtherEric
I had the 184 signed by Gil Kane, but the signature is on the 1st page, not the cover. When I handed him the book, he started flipping through it slowly. I asked him if something was wrong; he replied "I just haven't seen this story in years, my boy!" The 187 was definitely a cheap bin pickup back when I got it; you won't find it there any more for sure. OtherEric
I find it interesting that Animal Man always got the cover when most of the recurring features didn't, or at least didn't get them every time. Popular Post OtherEric
The 201 remains one of my favorite oddball covers. The 205 cost me relatively big bucks by my standards back when I got it... I think 9 dollars? Money well spent, to be sure. OtherEric
I know I have more of the later issues, but not sure what box they're in... and they're trending into Bronze territory, anyway. I find it interesting that Murphy Anderson only did the two Atomic Knights covers, as far as I know; and one was on the reprint. This particular issue is my favorite, of those I own. OtherEric and comicjack
frozentundraguy
This book was my first acquisition of the Strange Adventures title, at an LCS, back around 1999 or so. comicjack and OtherEric

Oddly enough issue #172 is one of the lowest graded Strange Adventure I have. frozentundraguy
It seems I have a few more of these. This is my earliest issue in the series. I always liked how the moon is shown off to the side already harpooned. LDarkseid1, Tri-Color Brian and OtherEric
frozentundraguy
Looking back now it seems incredible that an increase of 2 cents per issue was enough to pay for the increase in the cost of ink, art and the like. OtherEric

That would be a 20% increase; pretty solid relative to the cost of the book. But yeah, 2 cents isn't much on its own. It was more back then, though. frozentundraguy
