Bobbi Scheffer
Good morning Friends! I have a 1947 BATMAN ISSUE #42 and I was wondering if you guys thought it was worth it to get it graded. Or if you think having it graded will help with the value at all. Thanks!
GreatCaesarsGhost
Getting your book CGC graded will make it easier to sell, when the time comes. Until that time, the encapsulation will help preserve the book against dings and other tragedies, but it denies you the ability to read it. It's a trade off. It has had all of the coupons removed and the spine has been stitched with a sewing machine. I suspect it could be universal NG or low grade GLOD. If just wanting to showcase it for your enjoyment, sure but I do not think there would be much if any any profit to have it graded with your shipping costs and slabbing fees plus what you already have in the book. Black Bat
I wouldn't. Such a great cover,i love the stitching, and cover, the colors and the splash pages are great. It's really a treat, and you won't get to share it with anyone once it's sealed in the plastic coffin. Nice pickup! Bobbi Scheffer
