Good question...it appears to be almost a smudge, but does go halfway through the book, getting smaller closer to the centerfold. Maybe some type of water damge, but doesn't really look like it....

4.5 A smudge extending half way through the book insures that. A great looking 4.5 mind you but that smudge kills it.
