it's unlikely there will be widespread backwards compatability....

 

all the games on xbox were optimized to run on a specific nvidia video card...

 

ati is now providing the video, so there would be a heck of a lot of back engineering or a really huge emulator need to be done to get them all in working order...

 

of course, if you have an xbox, just don't get rid of it...

a splitter to hook up to your tv and you can play both with no problems.
