Hello! This week's auction is already underway and gaining steam. But if history is any judge, there will be some GREAT deals found herein.

Included in this auction is a BEAUTIFUL copy of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #8 9.8! Another early black Spidey costume appearance is Marvel Team-Up #141 (9.0). Also this week we have: The first BatWOMAN Beyond, the death of Speedy (with that great 1:200 Mattina cover), an early appearance of Captain Cold in Flash #193 (9.0), the first appearance of Star in Captain Marvel #8 (9.6), the Death of Robin (9.4), first appearance of The Black Winter (9.8), the first Jonathan Kent as Superboy (9.4), and the first evil Miles Morales (9.8 - 1:10 variant).

Also, that amazing Alex Ross cover one-shot: the first appearance of Harley Quinn in continuity (9.6).

Saturday update! Even with all the distractions this week, the auction seems to be doing well. Perhaps a little lower than usual, just a few days before close. But if so, that just means some great deals to be had!

In particular, I think some really nice comics will go for quite a bit less than retail. Perhaps the 1st appearance of Jon Kent as Superboy? (Current bid: $10) Or Batman Beyond #38 9.8? (Current bid: $21) This could be a great time to pick up a Symbiote Spider-Man #1 ($21, 9.8) or Absolute Carnage Symbiote Spider-Man #1 ($24, 9.8) with these limited edition variant covers. Or the beautiful Clayton Crain variant for Justice League #1 ($30, 9.8).

There are also some covers with fantastic art that doesn't come up for sale very often. Such as the Blackwood Mourning After 9.8 cover by Peach Momoko ($30); or the Stephanie Hans version of Mercy #1 9.8 ($37). And that astonishingly good Mattina cover for the Heroes in Crisis #1 1:200 is getting more difficult to find every day ($40).
