Question about comic storage

I’m currently in an amazing business deal right now with someone on CPG. They are willing to sell me there entire collection of 6,000+ comics fair valued over $60,000 for a fraction of the price they said... my question is not about that but I have already purchased comics from him and he really knows how to take care of his comics. One thing in particular though I noticed is that he places the board in the middle of the comic and then puts it in the bag so you can see both front and back of comic. My question is, is this is reliable way to store comics for a future date? Or should I take them back out and make sure the board is on the back of the comic... does the board cause damage long term if it stays in the middle of the comic? Thank you for any reply or advice!

From https://www.bagsunlimited.com/topic/savemycomics#:~:text=When a backing is placed, the deterioration of the comic.

"When a backing is placed in the center of the comic it protects the comic book spine from crushing. The second purpose for using a backing board in a comic is its potential to neutralize acid in the comic book paper. Acid in the paper that the comic is printed can cause the deterioration of the comic."
