Cracking Books out - Instructions?

42 posts in this topic

What I've noticed recently is that more and more graded books seem to be sealed incorrectly at the edges - giving them a somewhat "flimsy" feeling. You can press them and the sides go in and out.

I did query with CGC and was informed (very nicely) that the sides have NEVER been sealed - just the corners - but I'm sure the old label books had seals half way up?

Slightly off topic, but other quality control irritations are debris inside (chips, hairs, fur etc) and mis-printed or mis-stuck top labels.

p.s. crack with butter knife - then sharp scissors for inner-well.

Well it looks like I'll be cracking some CGC books out this weekend, and wondered if anyone had some useful links/instructions. I did a search here, but really didn't find what I'm looking for, as all the good Hammer-Time stuff probably got deleted.
