It's not good form to discuss on CGC's board other pressers when CGC has their own pressing company.

Are you kidding?  People recommend other pressers here all the time.  The only thing we don't speak of (or recommend) are other slabbing companies.

I don't see a difference. It was ok when CGC didn't own a pressing company but now they frown upon it.

You're right, there isn't much of a difference.  In both cases, it's discussion and recommendation of a direct competitor.  Despite that, I've seen plenty of comments about other pressers.  CGC/CCS has it within their rights to close topics on the subject, but from what I've seen it's not viewed as a serious transgression in the same way discussion of that other company which shall not be named is.

I can agree with that. You're right about them closing topics, after they acquired Classics Inc. the "Joeypost (CFP) is great" thread disappeared. Too much competition.

with all that being said, if someone wanted information on who might or might not be a good presser, there is well-regarded board member named 'joeypost' who can PRIVATELY point you in the direction of a good presser.  I'm 100% sure he wouldn't mind you sending him a PRIVATE MESSAGE with your inquiry.

Good luck.
