gadzukes
Please let me know what you think. I'll be sending it in for grading soon. Pretty weird seeing the OJ ad on the back. Edited March 24, 2022 by gadzukes Galen130
Funnybooks
at least a 9.6 BC could use a press..top left corner slight non-color breaking bend. press that corner out and this is a 9.8 candidate gadzukes and grendelbo
grendelbo
There needs to be a warning on books like this so I'm prepared for the OJ cameo on the back cover. I'm at 9.4 but with a press I could also see it as a 9.8 candidate. Thanks for posting.

speople
Not even gonna get a 9.0 This book definitely looks trimmed. It's very rough and uneven along a large part of the outer edge.
speople
It's definitely visible on the back cover.

It's not trimmed, you're just seeing a little waviness in the paper. This came from an OO collection of which there was no resto in any comic. speople
looks more than waviness imo, look at the back cover in the middle of the outer edge, there's at least a 2-3cm section that seems incredibly rough as if something artificial has been done there

I got it back out and "in hand" you can tell that it's not trimmed. It's slightly imperfect, but definitely an original trim from the bindery process. gadzukes
Got a 9.6. I'm happy, but I thought 9.8 was in play Galen130 and grendelbo 1

And also verifying it...like how? Finally, I am intrigued who bought it? Why? Are they a rich investor or a huge comic fan who knows this may be as close as they will get to owning literally a piece of this issue. More intriguing questions than annoyance really about such an item. gadzukes

Did you see the Homemade pasted together comic book that this piece originally came from? It's classic "kid being creative" stuff and probably happened in the late 30s/early 40s comicginger1789
