Nope, just terrible newbie grader learning a lesson.  Visually it looked better.  The pictures .... well ... reality sledgehammer to the face... from THOR.

Definitely work on refining those grading skills. A fine copy would not have that heavy spine damage or split to the top. Add on the stain/dirt on the back and well when you have those, 2.5 is about where she falls

Tears/splits alone will knock a book down approximately 1.5 grades per half inch.

Remember a 6.0 will look average - well-read but taken care of. You can have basically one big defect with a smattering of other slight flaws or a significant accumulation of minor flaws.

Thanks for sharing. Don't feel regret with posting this copy. Grading takes a lot of practice and time. Check out all the various resources (grading standards - Overstreet, Heritage, CBCS & CGC, mycomicshop and even Mile High) then look at thousands of certified copies on eBay or HA.
