Science fiction are indeed stealing the spotlight from all other genres. The Tomorrow War, another action sci-fi starring Chris Pratt released in 2021, was immensely loved by the present-day audience. Paramount Pictures originally produced it, but as the Covid-19 pandemic spread across the globe, the movie’s distribution right went to Amazon. It was released via Prime Video on the 2nd of July, 2021.

In July 2021 itself, it was announced that a sequel would be coming ahead. Fans have had their eyes on the sequel updates ever since. The leading actor, Chris Pratt, favored releasing the sequel when the cinemas are back into the scene. But, unfortunately, he has also been busy with several other projects, failing to dig out enough time for the sequel of Tomorrow War.

The Plot of Tomorrow War

The movie is built upon highly intellectual concepts in the genre of science fiction and time travelling classics. The issue comes to light when a couple of time travelers from the future step in the era of mid 21st century and announce that they were on the verge of losing a global war to a deadly alien species. They suggest that the only way of bouncing back from the lethal consequences was to send men from present to future so that they may join the war.

Playing Dan Forester, a father, and a high school teacher, Chris Pratt is one among those men. He builds ties with one of the best scientists of his time while reviving his chequered and broken relationship with his father. He takes responsibility for this deemed to be a suicidal mission to gift her daughter a safe life. He is entrusted with the task of keeping humanity alive on the planet and turning its destiny.

Making sequels to sci-fi movies has always been a cumbersome task. Even the slightest deviation from the main theme can lead the movie into becoming meaningless. Therefore, keeping the essence of the film alive while directing it is something about which the team is cautious, and they wish to plan it all out before rushing any further.

 

While the sequel of Tomorrow war is eagerly awaited, the audience is also aware that continuation of a sci-fi movie could lead to a complete withdrawal of interest from the movie even if the slightest of inaccuracies are found while juggling between time travel, emotional outlook, and maintenance of storyline of the film.
