GSXM 1 19 year old Slab 5.5? 3 3

I bought this GSXM1 5.5 from MCS and it was in a 19 year old slab that has a crack on side. Since the slab was cracked and it was graded 19 years ago decided to get it reholdered. The back cover looks very dirty and decided to get it pressed and cleaned. It’s been in the CGC mill for awhile now and was curious about grade after a clean and press? Looks better than 5.5 to me but no grader notes and I didn’t crack to look inside. Had it sent to CGC direct from MCS. There appear to be a tear on spine on top possibly. Appreciate the input. Heck thought someone might on here might have actually consigned this book and know it?

Hard to say with pics of it in a slab, but that doesn't look like what 5.5s look like nowadays.

With good C&P I can see a 6.5/7.0.

Let us know when CGC is done with it.

Thank you for the reply! My thoughts exactly on grade but hard to tell with out seeing inside and grader notes.

Definitely anxious to see your results , these square bound books can be very tricky to press. I have seen many a copy with protruding staples after pressing. But this looks like a good cleaning candidate

Will look better than my 6.0 when cleaned and pressed. 7.5. Definitely post when you get the grade back.

Finally back from CPR and Grading and then back for “Mechanical Error” due to hundreds of spots on inner well. Anyway it did get a grade bump. Not as high as I thought but still a very very nice 6.5 white pager.
