I believe this is oil migration from the inks used on the interior pages (which are all oil based).  I've seen many examples of high-grade books with this particular blemish.  I'll try to dig up some certified examples for you.

Any guess on a grade for the ST?

No problem.  My AIT #5 was dinged pretty hard because it was structurally in the NM-/NM range.  Your ST #134 would grade out as about a FN based on its edge and corner wear, alone.  I cannot see the migration stain causing more than an additional 0.5 deduction.  Hence, I think you're looking at a grade in the 5.5 FN- to 6.0 FN range.
