This was produced for the American Dental Association. They would sell these comic books to dentists to give to children to encourage good dental hygiene! Really well done comic book with beautiful artwork.

"KNOWING'S NOT ENOUGH" This super cool promotional giveaway story is based on the SAFETY MOTION PICTURE of the same name (early 50's) that was produced under the direction of the Safety Advisory Committee of the United Steel Corporation. This important safety book features the FOUR IMPS-IMPatience, IMPulsiveness, IMProvsing, and IMPunity. Very cleverly handled with lots of good action! Produced by Commercial Comics in 1956. --script by Malcolm Ater, Sr. Art by Jack Sparling. The story roars off at the beginning of a STOCK JAGUAR racing event. Eddie, the driver, is late for the opening of the race and tells his three mechanics to hurry up with the WHEEL ASSEMBLY, even though one mechanic says he needs five more minutes! Then another mechanic pipes up that he left his gauges at the garage and will have to SET EVERYTHING BY FEEL! As Eddie takes off in the race, the third mechanic finds a LOCK NUT he left out of Eddie's steering gear adjustment. Do they flag Eddie back? No! The race is too important! Well, Eddie is off to a fast start, in FIRST PLACE all the way until the end of the race. As Eddie rounds a turn his steering LOCKS UP and you have a WIPEOUT! The next day the mechanics tell their boss at the plant where they a work about the accident. It seems the boss is getting ready for a new safety campaign featuring the four imps-impatience, impulsiveness, improving, and improving, and they realize they were all guilty of allowing the four imps to land Eddie in the hospital! That night, the three mechanics go to the hospital to find out Eddie's condition- all of them blaming themselves for what happened! But at the hospital they find out that Eddie will recover ( although he's in a neck brace and looks terrible), and as the three friends try to individually shoulder the blame, Eddie blurts out that HE was responsible for the accident because he pushed his luck with IMPUNITY because he took the last turn with too much speed when he knew better to slow down! This is a GREAT SAFETY book based on the movie by the same name (and with a lot of EXCITING scenes)! And with the four imps, it's something we all tend to do when we're in a hurry. The message comes through loud and clear- SLOW DOWN AND DO THINGS THE SAFE WAY! This is a 7' x 10", 16-page book
