Kerdese
So I recently bought this book on eBay. He had it advertised as a 7.0 to 7.5. I could tell it probably wasn’t that high, but I was hoping for maybe a five, so I got it at $55. Turns out someone had tried gluing the cover around one of the staples. So the cover is attached by only one staple. What grade do you have for this thing? Bayowolf
Maybe 5.0, but due to attempt to glue staple probably 4.5. Kerdese

Just be aware that (1) Elmer's type white glue is a non-archival material and (2) its presence on a Silver Age book will generally result in certification with a Purple Label Restored Grade. On eBay, undisclosed restoration is sufficient grounds for calling an item "significantly not as described". Regardless of the seller's stated return policy, you're entitled to a full refund (and free return shipping). silverseeker, SpideyAZ, grendelbo and 2 others
