Cracked CGC case or molding defect?

Hello,

I just received a batch of books and most of the cases look defective.  This is on the side opposite the staples and the molded "tab".  There appears to be an internal crack as shown in the 2 pics.  I attached a pic of a slab without the issue.  Has anyone else had this issue?  Is this considered acceptable?  There was no shipping damage to the box either.  I am planning to ask for the ones to be re-slabbed.  These are 9.8 books and I want the slabs to be 9.8 as well.

I haven't had this issue, and I would guess CGC will consider this unacceptable and reslab for you... but honestly if that's the only issue I'd vote save yourself the time and headache and just keep them as is.

Since you've got multiple copies I assume you want to flip. I doubt most buyers would have an issue with this as long as it's pictured/disclosed prior to sale.

I could be very wrong, but my 2c

Thank you for the reply, I was surprised that most of the books were like this so I thought it might be considered acceptable.  Not that it matters but I plan to resell some of the books and keep some of the books as well.  For the ones I want to keep, I don't want a defect on the case of my 9.8 book.  Too much OCD, lol.
