Tetraethyl orthosilicate, also known as Tetraethoxysilane. One can buy it online without any restrictions in most countries, it can be used for DIY water-repellent coating projects. It is a flammable liquid and will mix just fine with gasoline or diesel. The fuel filter won’t filter it out. However, when it burns in the engine, it forms silicon dioxide, better known as sand.

So when Tetraethyl orthosilicate is put in the fuel tank, the engine will work just fine at first. However, the microscopic particles of sand will cause massive wear on the engine. A lot will also get into the engine oil and cause wear on all bearings.

I guess a liter of this stuff in the fuel tank would destroy a car engine beyond repair.
