Gregd
Thanks! Top staple looks like it’s dirty or surface rust (can that be cleaned??) Appreciate the input! Galen130
Jayman
Nice copy! Not sure what’s going on by his watch and cuff on the right side but I’d say 8.5.
Gregd
Oh no! I just looked at it again…. It doesn’t appear like it’s moving. Is there a possibility it some sort of glue/seal? FoggyNelson

Unfortunately dings the grade down a bit more.

Gregd
It’s a shame since the cover is so nice otherwise. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Was hoping to get it slabbed in the future but not sure it’s worth the $ now. 😢 Edited December 29, 2021 by Gregd

Gregd
So could it still be a 8 or 8.5 with the color break? Have you seen books with damage similarly with grades at 8 or above? Just wondering if worth slabbing it. Talk to the seller and he admitted he saw it but didn’t think it was a tear- just an area that was “pushed in”- though not disclosed. Randall Dowling
If that's a tear, I wouldn't grade it 8.0. Unfortunately, I'm thinking 7.5 is the grade. Still an awesome copy of a very tough book in high grade. FWIW, there are currently only 26 copies of that book graded (despite being the number one issue of the title) and although 14 of them are 9.0 or better, best of luck finding one of those. I think they're mostly locked up in collections and not coming out to play anytime soon. There are other high grade raw copies out there but again, most people that own the book, know how tough it is. Gregd

Gregd
If not for the tear, where would this grade? Where would points be taken off? I see the bottom left corner as one area.
