Could use a little help with this one....

There are a couple light dents that don’t show up in the scans...

 
 

But what I need help with is the fraying of the ink on the spine.  How hard is that hammered? Book was never read, so I assume this is somewhat common with moderns?

I don't think the spine will effect the grade much. Flaws I saw were mainly color rub on the back cover.

I agree with a 9.0. Tiny color rub on the back cover near the bottom staple. Ever-so-slightly blunted corners and the tiniest little beginning of a staple tear on the bottom staple on the front? Nice looking copy.

If CGC dings that spine as a 'frayed spine', it could go as low as an 8.0.  Let's hope not.  9.0/9.2 at best, IMO.
