PGM Teenage mutant ninja turtles #6 second print

So true story - bought this comic as a 13 year old kid in Markham, Ontario when it came out. Heard so much about TMNT wanted to buy one. Got it home, opened it... and found it black and white and hated it - didn't even finish reading it. Found out about 15 years ago it was a second print, and hated it even more. How things change. Now it's probably in the top twenty of the most valuable comics I bought as a kid (which speaks more to my taste, than it does the value of the book).

I see some slight corner issues but nothing too major, curious to hear the wisdom of the group.

Minor corner wear, slight spine stress w/slight color break, slight color rub by spine, discolored staples, slightly fanned pages.

IMO...

9.0 VERY FINE/NEAR MINT (VF/NM):  Back to Top
Nearly perfect with outstanding eye appeal. A limited number of bindery/printing defects are allowed. Cover is almost flat with almost imperceptible wear. Inks are bright with slightly diminished reflectivity. An 1/8" bend is allowed if color is not broken. Corners are cut square and sharp with ever-so-slight blunting permitted but no creases. Several lightly penciled, stamped or inked arrival dates are acceptable. Very minor foxing. Spine is tight and flat. Staples may show some discoloration. Only the slightest staple tears are allowed. A very minor accumulation of stress lines may be present if they are nearly imperceptible. Paper is off-white to cream and supple. Very minor interior tears may be present.

8.5 VERY FINE+ (VF+):  Back to Top
Fits the criteria for Very Fine but with an additional virtue or small accumulation of virtues that improves the book's appearance by a perceptible amount.

Yeah, it's on that VF/NM cusp.

8.5/9.0

Thanks for posting & for the story behind it. I enjoy hearing such and I'd hope to see more of it in PGM.

I thought it's fun to put some colour behind books I've had for 30+ years, taking from one place to another. In case it wasn't clear, I didn't know the book was in b&w when I bought it and felt ripped off and probably wished I'd bought more LEgend of the Dark Knight or Manhunter or some other  dollarbin book
