Feedback on a grade.

I am pretty new to grading so I am asking for some feedback on a book. I have found I am grading a point or two high but I was really off on this book. I was thinking it was  a 7.5 or 8.0.
Grader Notes:
light bends to cover
light spine stress lines to cover
moderate creasing to cover

On further inspection there is a longer color breaking crease on the back cover. Is this severe enough to drop it to a 6.0? This book was pressed. 5E5994E0-905D-4C9F-9992-1AEABDA2846D.thumb.jpeg.83c9cee484cab2b7cfd15094b00ab5f9.jpegThank you!

I have to say, the book doesn’t particularly look pressed.  What with all the waviness around the edges.  Especially top front and lower back. If you hadn’t said it had already been pressed I might have said this looked like a 6-6.5 with a chance to improve.  Hard to say completely with it in the case.

Yeah, I'd say that crease keeps it out of the VF range...

I agree. Unfortunately, that color breaking crease on the back cover along with the additional wear will really drop the grade. The book definitely doesn't look like it was pressed or, at least, it was poorly pressed. If you had the pressing done in house by CCS, then you might be able to resubmit as a mechanical error and get them to press it again free of charge. Not sure it will change your grade but it will certainly look better.

Seems to fit CGC's criteria for a 6.0 - A slightly above-average collectible with a major defect and some smaller defects, or a significant accumulation of small defects.

Thanks for posting.
