Brave and the Bold #108.  This issue presents Batman and Sgt. Rock, as well as an appearance by Hitler.

The scans tell it all, especially the front cover, which is close to detaching from the top staple.  There's a chunk of paper missing near the bottom spine corner, on the front.  The front cover's right page edge....YIKES!!  There is a spine roll as well.  The comic is complete and readable.

GD, no better; off-white pages.

Brave and the Bold #139. This issue presents Batman and Hawkman.

This comic has issues, especially the missing paper around the front cover edges. The ink is fairly worn off all around too.  So...

Capt. Savage and his Leatherneck Raiders #7. This story features Ben Grimm, pre-Thing, which occurs before Fantastic Four #1.

This comic is in decent shape, but there are a couple of larger issues. There's the marker writing on the front cover, once in black, and once in red underneath that. There are two small tears on the front cover's right page edge, one on the soldier's back (can't miss it) and another about two inches above that. It tears into the surfboard. There is a mild spine roll, plus a date stamp at the top (front). The back cover shows a few horizontal production wrinkle near the left page edge. These may press out, but I wouldn't doubt if they break ink. The comic is complete and easily read.

VG, give or take; cream pages.

Charlton Bullseye #8 (low print run).

This comic has some issues, but it's intact and readable.  The cover is detached from the top staple, and barely hanging on at the bottom staple.  It's not valuable, so...

Creatures on the Loose #10, March 1971.  This issue features the 1st full appearance of King Kull.  Contributors to the comic include Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Bernie Wrightson, and Herb Trimpe.

This book is intact and readable, but it does have some major issues. The top right corner of the front cover is nasty...to the left is a tear that will fold back if not handled properly. The tears that are visible on the back, top edge...they go through the entire comic.

GD, no better; off-white pages.

Creatures on the Loose #33, January 1975.  This issue contains works by Gil Kane, John Romita, an Klaus Janson.  Marvel Value Stamp #24, The Falcon, is intact.

The comic is complete and readable, but has issues.  The tape with writing on the front...BOOO!!!  There is a tear from the right edge of the front, with a small part that folds back.  At that spot, the wrap underneath is torn, with a folded piece.  The tear on the cover doesn't extend the same length on that inner wrap.  The chunks missing out of the edge above that tear are hard to miss.  The back cover isn't bad, but there's staining/soiling you can't miss.

GD/VG, no better; cream to off-white pages.

Creepy Things #3, Charlton Comics. The cover for this issue was done by Tom Sutton, along with work by Steve Ditko.

This copy is actually missing the top staple, but I believe it's a production issue. There are no holes evident in any of the wraps to show that there was ever a staple.  Also, the rough-looking top right corner is actually a weird production cut. That's the only thing I believe it could be. Nothing else major to report...the scans speak for themselves.

VF, or better; off-white to white pages.

Dennis the Menace Giant #23 (In Hollywood). This trade paperback (Summer 1964) features reprints from early Dennis the Menace cartoons and comics.

This TPB is a collection of reprints from earlier Dennis the Menace works. It is intact and very readable, but the main issues are the right spine paper at the bottom (the spine covering was pretty thin back then), the first two wraps detached from the staples (both sides), but held on by the cover, as well as the chunks missing on the back left edge. It was definitely read, but is in better than reader condition...in my opinion.

GD+, or better; tan to cream pages.

Dennis the Menace Giant #35 (Christmas Special).  This trade paperback (Winter 1965) features multiple comic strips with a few reprints of Christmas cartoons.

This TPB is in better condition than the one listed above.  The spine is intact, but the first wrap has popped out of the top staple...front only.  There is creasing and wear along the spine on the front.  It was read a lot.  Everything else is evident in the scans.

VG, or better; off-white pages, with some very light tanning on the top of some pages.

This is the first of a handful of Atlas/Seaboard Comics listings. (thumbsu

The Destructor #1, Atlas Comics/Seaboard Periodicals.  This comic features the 1st appearance, and origin, of The Destructor.  Steve Ditko is credited with partial pencil work in this issue.

The comic is structurally sound, but the scans say other bad things.  There's plenty of ink wear on the front, especially along the spine, soiling and a few cleanable stains on the back, as well as some creases near the corners that lightly break ink.  There is a very mild spine roll.  I believe this comic will grade higher after a solid clean and press.

VG/FN, or better; off-white pages.

Well, the wife had to go to work today and it's going to be a 'record-breaking heat' kinda day...105 degress plus.  So I'm going to take advantage of a cooled-off computer room...AND LIST MORE STUFF!!!

Contrary to what the thread title says, this thread is for all you collectors out there that might be low on funds for higher-end comics.  There won't be a single comic listed here for more than $50....a lot of them are under $10.  (thumbsu

And away we go!!!!

Detective Comics #343. Elongated Man makes an appearance in this issue, which also contains an excerpt from a 1869 Massachusetts Board of Health document.

The comic is intact...nothing missing. This comic would benefit from a cleaning, but the book already lies pretty flat. I don't think a press will do much. The scans show pretty much everything.

VG-, or better; cream to off-white pages.

Detective Comics #404, classic Neal Adams cover.  This issue features a tribute to Enemy ace, along with an appearance by Batgirl.

I'm trying to unload this raw copy because I'm on the hunt for a higher grade slabbed copy, which I probably can't afford right now. (shrug)
