2nd print copy of G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero #19.  This issue features the death of General Flagg.

I'm not bothering to list defects with this one, or giving a grade estimate.  It's a read...one of only a handful of comics that survived my younger brothers back in the 1980's.  Center wrap is detached, and....

G.I. War Tales #2, Dinosaur cover.  This comic reprints stories from Star Spangled War Stories #134, Our Fighting Forces #114, and G.I. Combat #133.  Neal Adams contributed to the original stores.

The comic has some issues, but it is intact. The cover has partially detached from the top staple, there are ink-breaking corner creases, a small piece is missing near the top right corner (front), as well as some mild 'crinkling' on the back cover. There is obvious soiling on the back, along with a decent scratch in the ink below the 'hand'. It doesn't go through the paper. There is a mild spine roll too.

GD/VG, or better; cream to off-white pages (more off-white I think).

This comic has it's issues, but it is intact. The scans pretty much say it all.

Ka-Zar #1 (1970 series).  Technically, this is the 1st stand-alone comic book for Ka-Zar, even though it reprints earlier stories from X-Men #10 and Daredevil #24...which includes Zabu's 1st appearance.  The front cover shows hidden profanity near the spine (palm tree) and above Zabu's rump.

This one was a bit difficult for me to grade and price because the back cover is completely detached, but included with the comic.  Also, there were three extra staples added from outside the cover.  The original staples are still there, but with some rust migration.  One of the three staples was mostly popped out, so I removed it to prevent injury or further damage to the comic.  It was just kind of hanging there.  There's a burn through, and onto, the front cover and some pages underneath.  There is a tear in that area as well.

The max grade I believe this comic would get is a 2.0, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was lower.  The book is complete and readable...kind of unique.

GD, probably lower; off-white pages.

Newsstand edition copy of The Legend of Wonder Woman #1, limited series.  This series was done in 1950's style artwork.  There are several references to the Crisis on Infinity Earth's storyline.

The book is in decent condition, with a mild spine roll and a small tear at the bottom that folds back (near the UPC box).  A clean and press will help here, but I think that tear keeps the comic from grading much higher.

Newsstand edition copy of Man-Thing #5 (2nd series).

The comic is intact and readable, but there's a bend and ink-breaking creasing diagonal through the book.  The lower half of the front cover's right page edge shows some wear and small tears.  There is a stain on the back, top left corner.  A press will help a bit, but probably won't improve the grade.

GD, or better; off-white to white pages.

Newsstand edition copy of Marvel and DC Present, Featuring The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans #1.  This comic features the 1st appearance of the Source Wall, the 3rd appearance of Deathstroke The Terminator, as well as an appearance by Darkseid.

The comic shows a number of issues and defects, but the major defect is that the center wrap is detached from the staples. The wrap underneath that is detached at the top staple and close to detaching from the bottom staple. The pages weren’t ripped out of the staples…the book is very thick (Baxter paper) and the staples weren’t done very well. I did not take scans because I don't want to cause a bigger problem. Otherwise, this is a complete comic.  I have little experience with detached center wraps, but I'm aware that comics can grade differently by the powers-that-be. This wouldn't be a valuable slab in this condition, so if it actually did grade higher than my estimate.  It is a newsstand though, if anyone cares. LMAO.

GD, or better; cream to off-white pages.

That's it for today, folks!!  My better half has been out-of-state for work this past week, then work again at the office here today.  She'll be home soon so we can go feed feral/stray cats...basically anything we can do to spend time together. lol

I don't think she has to work on Sunday (I hope), so I probably won't return to this thread until Monday.  Thanks again to everyone who's stopped by, and those of you that have grabbed goodies.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and stay cool!!! (worship)

DON'T FORGET THE FREEBIES!!! (thumbsu
